- Turn down screen brightness.
- Turn off unused wireless capabilities such as Bluetooth or wifi.
- Close programs and internet tabs you are not using.
- Avoid performance intense activities such as games or videos.
- Put the computer to sleep when you are not using it.
If your device is not getting its advertised battery life and you are following the above steps, your battery might require replacement. All batteries deteriorate over time and use, and more so with heavy usage.
